Wolffia Globosa Floater (Easy, Very Rare)
Wolffia Globosa, AKA just Wolffia, is a really neat and unique floating plant we’re excited to offer. It’s also slightly evil.
Wolffia is the SMALLEST flowering plant known to man. It is extremely small, and the pieces are nearly a quarter size of a small piece of duckweed. They’re that tiny. They create a really cool green ‘curtain’ over the top of your tank and grow really quickly. They’re also an amazing auto-growing fish food, as many fish including guppies love to eat this stuff.
While its tiny, it’s less evil than duckweed. Yes, Wolffia may get in all your tanks just like Duckweed will, but luckily most fish such as guppies love to eat it. Anytime a tank of mine gets overrun with Wolffia, I just add a surface skimmer which sucks it all up easily, or I add a few guppies to eat it all up. Duckweed is too big to get sucked up by skimmers and just a little too large to be eaten by most fish, so Wolffia is effectively a “Better Duckweed”!
You will receive a small portion of Wolffia in a baggie. Portions are intentionally relatively small to keep it controlled because it grows extremely quickly.
